Thread: COMAND NTG 2.0 with Harman Kardon Sound System

I've given up on looking to fit an COMAND NTG 2.5 into my 2008 ML 280 so am going down the "simpler" path and installing a NTG 2.0 unit. Not as much functionality but a lot less work and hassle.

My question is, does the NTG 2.0 unit need coded to accomodate the Harman Kardon sound system my vehicle has or is it just a straight swap out of the Audio 20 unit with no changes. I know I need to have the data card updated and SCM coding to hve the intrument cluster to work but is that all that's required?

It normally auto-detects but when the optical ring setup is stored in the unit it will be safest and most reliable.
