Thread: Command screen backlight problem

Hi guys
Im new to your boards but hold hi regards to the things found here.
Please can you advise me on a matter with my wide screen command unit in CL500 2005.
The backlight function seems to be stuck. When I go into the system function and try to increase the illumination I get no response. Is there some trick to making it work or are there bulbs which will have failed and need replacement. It is OK to see whats on screen its just that I would like it a little brighter.

Initially you can try doing a software reset from the system menu. However the brightness is controlled from the cluster brightness also but only at low light levels.

In daylight it behaves differently than at night. Try this in a dark parking location.

If its broken I have spare parts.
