Hi guys, I have an E430 2001, that have the single din unit with all the options, CD Changer, Phone, voice comand etc. I changed the D2B unit to have bluetooh capabilites with a Mottorola connector ( Originaly came with phone)

Here is my questions, as the CD changer only reads WAV files, is there a CD Changer that reads MP3? Or what kind of adaptor can I install to hook my Nano player

There is no Mercedes unit.

There is / was an Alpine conveter, where you needed an alpine MP3 capable CDC, a Alpine D2B interface, and an additonal Alpine converter.

But I think this has been discontinued

The parts were

KCA-430A (about £175) D2B->Mbus
KCA-130B (about £20) Mbus->AInet
CHA-S634 (about £200) MP3 compatable Alpine AInet CD changer

The trouble is that the D2B chipset is no longer made and those manafacturers who have supplied D2B systems to the vehicle manafactures have to keep many years supply of the components for warranty purposes.
