Will the Command Unit from an old ML or E-class (PART# A210 820 49 89) work in a 99 CLK320? The clip on the side indicating the angle for the gyroscope is suppose to be 20 degrees (and green) for the 99 CLK320, but the Comand unit has one that is 25 degrees (and yellow).

So long as illumination and power off works it should be ok. You will need diagnostic coding and in some instances a wire from DIN-A to C2 for speed pulse.
