Default E class comand map and nav frozen

The map and nav on my E 06 has frozen. I noticed a couple of days ago that the map was showing me off road, even though I wasn't. But now the map has frozen at a position where I was earlier today. Tried to set a route on the nav system which id my exact position ok but then froze as the car started moving. The travel direction on the instrument panel was also wrong, showing me going W when I was going east.

Used the buttons on the comand system to reset it, but there has been no change.

Any advice on problem and fix would be much appreciated. Thanks.

    Thanks BenzModz,

Have had a look at the unit and see only a button to eject the disc. Cannot see how to reset power. Is it easily done or is it a dealer visit?

    Regards

Remove the fuse for the navigation processor

The fusemap is behind the panel and the end of the dashboard on the drivers door (that is only visible with the door open), the panel clips out to reveal one of the many fuseboxes.

The fuse will be in the fusebox next to the navigation processor. you could of course just remove the 5Amp and 7.5Amp fuses in there as one of them will be the correct one

BTW, be careful if the car is right-hand-drive as the fusebox in the dashboard is upside down compared to the picture on the fusemap

Thanks for your advice Richard. For some unknown reason the system has corrected itself and is operating normally again.
