Thread: Back up camera 164.

Hi there,

On an ML 350 2006/ what's the best back up camera. Its equipted with command Navi, it was built early June 2005 before back up cameras became vouge. I guess based on what I've read here that cutting a hole in the liftgate near the lic plate lights bar and then fishing the line through to the dash will be a fun task. Also a star diagnostic coding will make the screen a back up monitor with a grid as well. ?!

Hi

No Grid, but reversing camera can be enabled on the COMAND (certainly on European cars). I think the genuine camera is the best, but any NTSC camera will work.

Of course your tailgate and rear handle don't have the necessary hole, so maybee a non genuine camera will be a lot easier to fit

The camera is NTSC in Japan and North America. It is PAL any other place.
