Default Blue Tooth and iPod Integration for 2005 SL 500

    Dear Gurus,

I have a SL 500 that I would like to add bluetooth to. I have looked all over for a plug to connect a bluetooth adaptor, but I have not been able to find one.

My head unit has the Tele button and the telephone keypad, but I can't figure out how to connect my iPhone 4 S. I purchased the car used, so I don't know if a phone has ever been connected to this car.

I would also like to know if there is an iPod integration kit for this car, so I can play music from my iPhone on my car stereo.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I have looked all of over for the plug in the armrest and cannot find one. The plug in my E-Class is easy to identify, so I assume I do not have one on my SL500.

    BenzModz,

I have not heard from you in a while. I was reviewing a different post at I made where Richard left the following link related to bluetooth and ipod integration on my E-550.

Comand Online Ltd :: Mercedes Phone/Bluetooth :: Phone System Retrofit Kits :: mCar Phone & Digital iPod interface for Mercedes NTG1/NTG2 vehicles

Will mCar Phone & Digital iPod interface for Mercedes NTG1/NTG2 vehicles work for my 2005 SL500? It looks like it will. I have a CDC on my SL500, but I would gladly get rid of it if this device would give me both bluetooth and the ability to stream music to COMAND. If this will work, please let me know the US part number, so I can order one. Also, do you know if the part will come with good installation instructions? If not, can MB Guru provides the installation instructions? Thanks in advance.

I would recommend you have either

    a) Factory UHI installed

    b) UMI module installed.

Both require trained professionals in order to remove the panels in your car without causing damage.

Do mean UHI or MHI? I presume I would need a MHI since this is a US car. Can you provide me with the MB part number for the MHI module and the MB part number for a bluetooth adaptor to work with the MHI module? Ultimately I am trying to get bluetooth installed in my SL500 to work with my iPhone 4S. Thanks in advance.
