    Default Comand NTG 2.5 retrofit

I recently posted a thread about the retrofit of my NTG 2.5. I had few issues like the radio signal and the microphone which were successfully sorted.
I know have few questions about an issue that i still complain about ...

I have a Comand NTG 2.5 and i was wondering since it has a media interface already built in, how do i make it work ?
Can i add a media interface plus from mercedes and would it work ?
I haven't got the plug in the glove box to plug the MIP so do i need to bring it from the command and what cable should i use ?

Also if the phone hasn't been activated on my car do i need to bring to merc and have the STAR diagnostic run ?

I really would like to use the NTG 2.5 as much as it could be.
Sorry for all those question but i hope someone out there could help me.

The Media interface is not built in. It is an external option.

The activation of the phone system only enables the buttons on the steering. It should already work manually from the COMAND.

Hi thanks you for the reply.

Indeed the phone works from the comand. I wanted to activate it from the steering.

About the MIP, I realise that most of the people plug it in the glove box where there is a plug already in.
Mine doesn't have it, on the back of the NTG 2.5 there is a pin out plug in the middle that i'm not using right now, is that where i should plug the cable and bring all the way into the glove box ?

    Thanks again

Media Interface operates as a replacement for the older technology CD Stacker. It has 12V power and its own Fibre Optic connection.

What you refer to is AUX Audio in.
