Thread: Comand 2.0 W208

Recently my navigation stopped working with the error "there is an error navigation cannot start". The unit would not draw in a CD. I took out the unit and cleaned the CD unit as brilliantly described in mercupgrades.com. I tested the unit while it was out to make sure the CD would load and unload by connecting a 3v supply to the loading motor. When I put it back the unit still won't accept a CD at all. I checked the diagnostics and cleared them but the error B1762 is still active. Interestingly while in diagnostics I offered a CD to the unit and it took it in half way then ejected it! Any ideas without me spending loads of money. Everything else on it works fine. The unit has a software date of 2001 and was an original fit.

The intake rollers are slipping most likely.
