Thread: cigarette lighter sockets

I have been unable to find any reference to these using the search but it may be because I'm not searching for the right thing!

I have found that on my 2007 ML320CD that the rear passenger and boot auxiliary 12 volt power outlets don't appear to be working, whether the engine is running or not. Is this a fuse issue?

The manual states that if they are connected ... which is peculiar terminology, surely if they are present they should be working. I can find no information on any fuses though I have the fuse panel locations the rear one does not have a plan! The car is has a Mercedes Benz fitted tow bar (removable).

Does anyone have a clue as to what I should do or should I visit the merc garage?

Yes it is fused. Observe the fuse chart in the spare wheel area.
