Thread: WTB sirius for 04 s55

Looking to buy the radio for my car. everything I've read says that model is prewired, i just need the bracket, tuner, and antenna. I'm fine with rigging the bracket and antenna, but i cant seem to track down the tuner part number. I've seen these tuner numbers on ebay but not sure which, if any, might work.

Is your S-Class MOST or D2B ?

There was a model change in that year.

I took my car to a stereo shop and they said it was a MOST system.
The in dash reciver has cassette and dvd. I need to investigate the trunk to find the fiber connection and see which it is.
I do have navigation DVD drive in the trunk as well as cd changer.

i took apart the trunk, found the antenna jacks, a set of fiber cables that were jumpered, and the power plug. there was one more that i didn't find, but saw on some other boards.
The plugs look to be MOST not d2b. the ends are just white, not red/white.

Ok then all you need is a USA retrofit kit and some software coding.

wound up taking a chance and bought this off ebay. UNIT IS PART # A 211 870 33 89 / MODEL # DL 3596. hooked it up using the fiber from the cd changer and it worked!
