    Default W203 COMAND 2.0 issues

    Hi,

I retrofitted the COMAND 2.0 to my '02 C32 several years back which has been working flawlessly since. But recently, from time to time (especially if the car has been parked for days without using) the COMAND screen would not come on at ignition, when this happens, I can get it back on by holding the "display mode" button several times. Sometimes it would come back on on first try, sometimes, it would take quite a while. Any idea what could be wrong?

Also, when I retrofitted the COMAND, I didn't bother to have the dealer recode it, so on the D2B components diag, I have 1C8, 108, 0F0, 191 and 190, but only 1C8 is shown as configed. Would this be the reason of my problem? But again, it has been working for years... Any reason why I should go and have this config? Thx!!!!!

A common fault on the LCD that maybe the backlight is suffering from age.
