Question DRIVING LIGHTS - Continuous On

I have partially installed a set of "after-market" LED driving lights on our 2009 E350 station wagon (W211). They are similar, but different, to those on the 2012 E Class. My question concerns wiring them to be on continously when the engine is running. I want to connect to an ignition controlled hot wire somewhere under the hood (bonnet) so I do not have to peirce the fire wall for a power source. Does anyone know where I can tap into an under-hood power source that will not upset one of the onboard computers?

    Thanks!

We only recommend and use OEM wiring diagrams.

If I had the OEM wiring diagram I would not be asking for help.

A person can get this information very easily. The price is very reasonable.

I have now installed the driving lights I am anxious to hook them up to power so I can see how they look all lit up and use them -- un-lite they look great. There is a fuse/electrical box buried under some plastic shrouding under the hood on the left side of the engine compartment against the firewall. It has an array of fuses, wires and what appear to be relays. I think this may be a place to find an ignition activated source of power for the LED driving lights. Does anyone have knowledge or a wire schematic with color codes for the wires inside this box and also identification of the various fused circuits?

    Thanks,

You need to look at a car with this option fitted from factory.
