Thread: Changing Comand to after market system?

My S211 has Comand APS with H&K.
Now I have thought that I'll replace whole system.
Idea is to get DVD/CD/Radio and possible amplifier.

It raises questions;
- What are H&K speaker impedance?
- Is H&K subwoofer active or passive (AGW gives amplification)?
- If Comand system is removed does driver-SAM give current from same connector which is used for HU?
- Does navi's antenna work with after market radio, when fakra-din antenna plug is used? Or do I need other antenna for radio?
- How I will get that EIS information for radio so that start and shutdown when key is inserted or removed? (almost all wiring kits are for other than comand APS)
- What else?

It would probably be cheaper to replace the car.
