Thread: Retrofit RSE in 2011 ML W164

My 2011 ML W164 doesn't comes with pre-wiring for original MB RSE.
How do I go around to retrofit the RSE with Comand NTG 2.5?
Beside the hardware which I was told consist of the following:

1. 2 x 8" LCD Monitor
2. 2 x Wireless Headphone
3. 1 MB DVD Player
4. 1 Remote Control

Is Comand On-Line able to sell me the above items & necessary wire harness to retrofit the MB RSE on my ML W164?

There are two kinds of RSE. One is TV integrated and one is standalone.

Which type are you considering ?

Hi Miro,
I am considering the one that can be integrated with the Comand NTG 2.5 i.e 8" LCD Monitors with external DVD player.
Can the pre-wiring harness be bought?

It is not directly orderable. It needs to come from someone who knows the part number.

Only the seat wiring and the screens are orderable.

Looks like I will take the easier path i.e go for the standalone 7" Monitor with inbuilt DVD Player.
I understand these DVD players do not play multi-region code DVD.
Do you know where I can order a standalone MB RSE set with Region Code 3?
