Thread: Can I Upgrade my Command Unit

I have a MB CLK 2001 (W208 - I believe).
I ordered the car with the Command unit & Satnav for Europe. No phone or TV. The navigation uses the Teleatlas DX disks.

All was well until I shipped my car to South Africa. I tried to get the DX navigation disk here, but I'm told it's not produced any more for DX, so now I'm stuck! New country & no navigation.

Q1. Is there a way to upgrade my existing Command unit to read newer disks, or perhaps upgrade the entire unit (as long as it can still fit in the car properly)? If so - how?

Q2. Does ANYBODY have a DX navigation CD for South Africa (new or old)?

I'd appreciate all your help?
