Default Retrofitting Harman Kardon Logic 7 on W164

    Dear Gurus,

I would like to retrofit Harman Kardon Logic 7 on my 2011 W164 ML300. VIN WDC1641822A709639

I am told I'll need to buy a total of 12 speakers including the front centre speaker and the subwoofer in the rear, HK amp for the 11 speakers and HK amp for the subwoofer & wire harness.

May I know what else I need for this retrofit and if I can buy the whole retrofit set from Comand On-Line please?

I am told that the total cost is "high" and I do not mind if the HK amps are used or "refurbished".

    Thanks in advance!

    Speakers/Subwoofer
1 × 80 mm metal matrix center speaker, front
4 × 43 mm dome tweeters, front & side rear
    2 × 168 mm metal matrix wide-band transducers with double voice-coil, front
2 × 168 mm metal matrix wide-band transducers, side rear
    2 × 80 mm metal-matrix surround speakers, rear
1 × 168 mm double voice-coil subwoofer in closed box, rear

    Amplifier
Harman Kardon® high-performance DSP amplifier and booster with 610-watt total output.
DSP with discrete Logic 7® audio processing, Digital Transmission Content Protection (DTCP) and Speed-Sensitive Volume Adjustment (SSVA

You may purchase all of the parts from COMAND ONLINE.

However, the labour of this job far exceeds the cost of the speakers so I suggest you have a good installer and also a good work plan.

I suggest you speak to Richard and decide the other wiring you want installed at the same time. If you have other options in mind later then have the wiring installed for those other options.

I hope you realise that the whole interior has to come out.
