    Default Bluetooth adaptor 2006 E350

I would like to add a Bluetooth adaptor to my 2006 E350 MB that includes the 333 Sport Package and 536 Premium Package. This includes fully functional COMAND System with AM/FM/WB/CD Player with Satellite XM/Sirus radio enabled, a Multifunction Steering Wheel with MB Phone System controls having Tele Aid currently enabled and functional. My VIN is WDBUF56J76A944165.

There appears to be a combination of electronics in the trunk: a DVD player for the navigation system and additional electronics in the same area. How do I know whether and identify if I have the requisite electronics in the trunk?

In my center console area there are two buttons; one marked with a lower case ‘i’ and the other with a two ended box wrench. When I press either button it calls out to the ‘Tele Aid’ system for information and roadside assistance. There is an angular opening approximately one inch from the bottom located to the front of the center console. There is not an electronic umbilical or blue tooth adapter plate visible in the center console.

Problem: My E350 does not have a pre-installed contact plate in the center console that a cradle adapter with Bluetooth could attach. What additional equipment and steps are necessary to allow for Bluetooth connectivity? What would be the typical cost for the upgrade?

Retrofit the phone kit for your country. (cheap and simple)

Add Bluetooth expansion module to the MHI Socket provided.
