Default 2005 500SL key recognition problem

Twice in 3 weeks I have used Keyless Entry and attempted to start the car. The starter turns over repeatedly but it won't start. I stop, wait, try again a few times using the key and start button; finally after about 5 minutes, it starts.

The Dealer doesn't have a clue what is wrong.

Did you try replacing the battery in the keyless go key.

Then it can be a failure on the

    a) Overhead control panel (OCP)

    b) Ignition switch (EGS / CGW)

    c) Short circuit on CANBUS

    d) Low battery / worn battery

    e) Signal module in the Keyless-Go system.

Default Now it's stalling at low RPM's

Stalled twice yesterday as I approached a red light. 1st time started after 5 minutes, the drove to destination.

Upon returning home it stalled again after 5 minutes. It did not start. Called towing. At garage after 60 minutes, it started with one key and not the other.

The tow operator said the car reset the key and recognized it since the key was left in the ignition for 15 minutes or more. Any ideas.
