Thread: Need advice on interfacing my IPhone with 2006 E320 CDI with NAV and command

As I don't think there is only one way to do this, I am looking for what my options are and direction so as to make the right choice. I will be acquiring (2 weeks) a 2006 E320 CDI. It has SAT, Command, H/K Logic 7. Here is the list of options it came with:

022 Sirius
319 Lighting package
626 Premium package with panoramic sunroof.

I will use initially, an IPhone 3GS. I can, if necessary, upgrade to an IPhone 4. I'd like to make and receive calls hands free, listen to music and see on the display what is playing on the IPhone, use other applications such as Pandora, Netflix, etc., have access to my phonebook, be able to initiate a voice activated call and provide power to the phone. I CAN DO WITHOUT THE VIDEO PART.

I have read alot on line and wanted to be sure that I do this correctly. Also, should I upgrade to the NAV CD? Also advise on degree of difficulty regarding a DIY install.

The current E-class 2010 supports rear-headrest iPad. Those are the only apparatus which currently support Netflix and so on.

There is no support for these applications below COMAND NTG 4.5 and not with video while driving.
