Default New C Class and iPhone 4 issues

    Hi,
I have recently collected a new C Class estate with the command system installed and have purchased a genuine MB bluetooth cradle (A 212 820 11 51) for the iPhone 4.
The phone works ok when connected to the MB bluetooth system but not when connected to the Bluetooth cradle as the convenience phone. Although I can receive calls I cannot make calls through the command system. It says connecting but does not dial and eventually says no service despite the graphic in the top right corner displaying full signal. I can make calls directly from the phone which route through the command system. I have the latest apple software and have de-authorised and reauthorised the phone. Also the SMS function although not Breyer out does not work. I have been to the dealership and they are at a loss.

Would be grateful for any advice.

    Many thanks

Have you deleted the pairing on the iPhone between iPhone and the head unit? I am wondering if the iPhone has paired with both head unit and iPhone cradle at the same time and this is causing the problem. I presume your pairing of the iPhone and iPhone cradle worked fine?

    Richard.

    Thanks for the prompt reply

I have tried every combination of pairing and had no issues with pairing the iPhone with the cradle. I would imagine that as a brand new car the firmware would be the latest but I will check. The SMS function is not greyed out so I assume that it is functional. I am surprised that more people have not had the same problem. There seems very little reference to it on the forums and MB seem oblivious to it. One would have thought that the combination would have been tested. I am also having issues with getting a data connection with the iPhone it's says that the connected phone does not support data communication whislt connect to the mb Bluetooth and no data connection can be established using the convienience telephone although I have checked that the data settings are correct..

By the way I have successfully established a connection using a blackberry torch.
