Thread: W164 Comand NTG2 - Incorrect vehicle position

Before I enter the darkside of my local MB dealer, can anyone help. My ML is fitted with the NTG2 system. Running V12 DVD.

I have an issue with the vehicles positioning on the map. It appears approximately 20 to 30 yds behind its actual position when approaching junctions. It appears it is seeing 8 satelites and I have checked the GPS co-ordinates against my iPhone compass and they match . Have I an issue or this normal?

Who fitted the GPS antenna ?

There are also ML with independent COMPASS modules behind the cluster.

System is factory fitted. I don't believe the antenna is at fault. System constantly recognises satelites.

Wondering if it is vehicle speed signal issue to unit. Speedo readings o.k.
Is there a speed status option on the NTG2 system?

It could also come down to a change of tyre profile. If you change the radius of the rubber this problem can happen easily.
