Default Parts to add the OEM CTEL Antenna.

    Hello

I've given up on the MB Buletooth Puck, one to many "Call me when you get home I can't hear you!"

I've had the v60 US Hands free kit in my 2002 C230 Coupe for 4 years, the car didn't come with the Phone or Teleaid option. But in the US all C-Class cars are pre-wired for hands free phone retrofit. I remember connecting a coax labled CTEL/Teleaid antenna and I know that Teleaid has the secondary antenna in the rear bumper, but no roof antanna.

The V60x CDMA I picked up on Ebay works great, but I lose signal and the phone is dropped from the comand with a message "No Service". If I pull the phone from the cradle it has service bars and is useable, so not just hitting a dead zone.

I've picked up the outside antenna that mounts on the rear hatch glass, but need the inside antenna that will go back to the PSE. My dealer parts department can't seem to find a part number for the parts that go from the PSE to the inside glass and connect to the outside antenna.

Part numbers for the US would be great of if someone is parting out a C-Class I'd be interested in buying those parts.

    Thanks to everyone...

Could you please explain to us which steps you took in which sequence in modifying your car.

I just want to get a summary of which wiring changes you made.

Default Steps taken in Hands Free Retrofit:

The steps taken were from MB WIS hands Free Retrofit Document.

In US C-Class cars all the phone wiring is pre-installed even if the Phone option is not ordered and installed at the factory.

I Installed the PSE, Compensator, v60 Cradle, added the d2b fiber to the ring, dealer version coded Phone, and plugged in Bluetooth puck. Working MB phone system in my car.

Now I'm replacing a poorly designed Bluetooth Puck option with the Cell Phone the system was designed to use, Mercedes v60x.

With the v60x plugged into the cradle the phone doesn't use it's antenna, the Cell signal is picked up by the hands free antenna. which is in two places.

    1. Secondary teleaid antenna located in the rear bumper.
    2. Roof antenna, located on the rear hatch glass both antennas are shared between the Teleaid and CTEL the system will block a Cell call in or out if the Teleaid is in use.

I have the outside antenna, and there is an atenna on the inside glass that has a coax that goes back to the compensator and PSE.

The inside antenna is the missing part that will boost the cell signal so calls aren't dropped.

So all I really need is a US part Number to give the dealer so it can be ordered and installed.

In the USA they have specific B6 accessory part numbers for those and bulletins for installation.
