Thread: 2005 S500 Command DEAD

Part number 2208702289 - 2005 S Class Command Center went dark about 2 weeks ago. then battery drained and had to jump car. Took it to a small mercedes shop local and they said the battery was being drained because the command center was waking up and pulling a charge. The command center will not power on. In the console, my radio, phone and navigation selections all show ----- under them.
We checked on a replacement from Mercedes and they want $3800 to replace it in a car not worth more than $20k. does anyone know where I can send the command center to have it repaired or a refurb unit to replace it? I am in the US, Atlanta Ga.

HELP!

Have Mercedes Benz do the analysis. American models are not able to be easily sourced outside of the USA.
