Default Comand NTG4 + Ipod interface in new GLK charging problem

    Hello everyone!
I have recently retrofitted a comand NTG4, purchased on Ebay from a UK seller, plus an IPod interface, purchased on Ebay from a US seller, in my new 2011 GLK 300, X204.
    The Comand part # A204 9062800.
    The IPod interface part # A204 8704496.
    The car Chassis # WDC2049811F642356.
The car originally had an Audio 20 factory installed, NO cd changer.
The work was carried out by a shop authorized by the local MB dealer, in Israel.
At first, the technicians had difficulties with powering up the comand unit, they have later found out that there was a difference in the wiring and connectors, something to do with the CAN bus.
Now, everything is working perfectly, the command, the BT phone and the IPod interface, being controlled via the steering wheel buttons.
The only problem is, the unit would not charge the IPod/Iphone, I have tried all kinds of devices, older versions like Iphone 1st Gen. and newer 4th Gen.
    Same with IPod.
I have been trying to measure the dock connector pins, according to pinout info I found on the web, with the car switch turned to position 2, the connector did not give any reading neither of 5V via usb pin, nor 12V via the firewire pin, the only reading was 3.3V from pin 18, internal output.
Could someone help me solve this problem? is there any clue as to where an answer could be found, MB people here would not have an answer or not be helpful since the retrofitted devices were purchased by me out of the country.
    Thank you!
