Thread: W211 320cdi 2004 comand disc problem

Hi. My family have owned this car from new and the nav disc has never been removed from the unit since it was collected from the factory! I've just tried my 2007 version disc (from another car) A211 827 9559/B6 782 3659 and the Comand unit just says ` No disc Nav drive in boot'. Tried several times including pulling the power plug to reset and just get same result (old disc still works). Is there some sort of upgrade I need to do? Thanks for your help.

It was around 2007 (I think Version 7) where the new disk came out but really old drives didn't have the required firmware to understand it.

Mercedes then released a patch disk to fix it

And then, from Version 8 onward the firmware was included on the map disk.

So, you need to find a newer map disk.
