Default Retrofit Audio 20 on W245-B200 2008 with Audio 5

    Hi there,

    I own a pre-facelift, 2008 - W245 B200, originally with Audio 5 (single DIN) and steering audio/phone controls - but without Bluetooth nor iPod Control .

Picture of my Car Dash/Steering - with Audio 5:

My question is... Is it possible to retrofit an Audio 20 (2 DIN) with Bluetooth and AUX-in/iPod control in my car?

My main concern is regardin the A/C controls, that are in a different location/"height" when compared with the W245 B200 with Audio 20.

Picture of my desire Car Dash - With Audio 20:

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi
To fit the NTG2 Audio-20 (i.e the one without bluetooth) you need this kit

    Comand Online Ltd :: Mercedes SatNav/COMAND :: COMAND Retrofit parts :: Current W169 A, W245 B, Sprinter, Vito, Viano :: COMAND/Audio-20 install kit (NTG2) for W169/W245 A/B class with Audio-5

It includes the panelwork needed to move the bottom switch set / aircon down

If you want to put a NTG2.5 Audio-20 in rather than the older one, so you get telephony/bluetooth then add this kit to the above - it contains microphone, bluetooth antenna, antenna splitter / power lead etc

Comand Online Ltd :: Mercedes SatNav/COMAND :: COMAND Retrofit parts :: Current W169 A, W245 B, Sprinter, Vito, Viano :: A/B/CLC/ML/GL/R COMAND NTG2.5 (Hard Disk) retrofit kit - cars without phone.

The 1st kit will be back in stock next week, if you email sales@comandonline.co.uk they'll set the quantity to 1 so you can order. If you put a note on the order that the 2 parts are to be combined into 1 adapter set they will wire the 2 kits together as one for you, which will make your life easier

    Kind Regards

    Richard

    Hi Richard,

Thank you very much for your fast reply!

So in summary, I will need to buy this two kits from ComandOnline, plus an Audio 20 NTG2.5.

    Is that it?

    Two more questions:

    1. With this kit installed, I will have Bluetooth, iPod, Aux-In?
And all controled by the steering whell and displayed in the Cluster?

    2. Would you know the Part number for the Audio 20 NTG 2.5, just to be sure I wont buy the wrong one without Bluetooth?

    Thanks again.

I may have an audio 20 version 2.5 for that car in storage. I can send it to Richard if he needs it.

    Hi BenzModz...

And how much are we talking about, for this Audio 20 v2.5 System?

PS: I took a look at your website (from your signature), and I saw that you completed the project for Paddle Shift... can you give me more details? I really would love to have this in my car.

    - New spiral in steering column
    - New steering wheel (really expensive)
    - New coding on transmission (after addition of code 428)
    - C-S-M button on gear selector indicator

Really it only needs 3 parts and coding. :-)

That way, it Looks very simple...

The only problem will be the new Spiral and Steering...

I really thought it would be just plug and play the paddle shifts in the back of the steering, connect some wires to the steering harness and make some program mods in the ECU or something like that.

So, forget about it... and also gave up from the Audio system upgrade, decided that I'll go with Parrot MKi9200. It's not "Originel Teile", but it's way cheaper and simpler.

    Thanks for all the help.
