    Default Installing Command NTG 2.5 in W245 B Class

    Hi

    I have a W245 B Class 2009 model with a Audio 20 6 CD changer and bluetooth/hands free telephone facility.

    I have fitted a Comand NTG 2.5 (model BZ9811 6 CD changer Command) in its place.
    Also I have fitted the GPS antenna supplied, on the dash at the moment (Model BY-GPS-03, Frequency 1575.42MHz, Voltage 3.0v - 5.0v) Not sure if this is original part?

    I have directly connected the white fakra from the Audio 20 unit to the command and same goes for the Mustard one, the GPS was fitted to the blue fakra.
    I do have a Green fakra connector which is only on the command not Audio 20I'm not sure what this is for?

    Everything is working O.K. apart from weak signal to radio which works O.K. but have to manually tune and the GPS is also a little weak.
    I would like to fit the GPS antenna in its factory fit position if possible.

    Please can you help with parts or pictures I may need to do this and may be any advice on completing the installation correctly.

    Thanks for your Help

    You need this splitter to fix the FM/AM antenna issue - the COMAND has 2 antenna inputs in that double white fakra connector.

    Comand Online Ltd :: Mercedes SatNav/COMAND :: COMAND Retrofit parts :: W211 last E, W219 CLS :: FM/AM Antenna splitter adapter for Hard Disk COMAND-APS (NTG2.5)

    Also, I strongly suggest you use a genuine Mercedes antenna. You should fit this above the instrument cluster but under the dashboard, so it is out of sight.

    Comand Online Ltd :: Mercedes SatNav/COMAND :: COMAND Retrofit parts :: Genuine MB GPS Antenna for DVD and Hard Disk COMAND APS

    The green FAKRA is the reversing camera input on NTG2.5

    I have seen COMAND units that are badly coded (because they are made of different units inside by whoever sold them on eBay) that the antenna performance is bad - but this normally affects SLK which has only 1 antenna.

    Cheers

    Richard

    PS. Mustard Fakra is the bluetooth antenna. The factory location for the GPS antenna is in the roof antenna (new roof antenna), but it works very well with a decent GPS antenna on top of the cluster, and that is where Mercedes recommend you put it when retrofitting.
