Default Help anyone on W220 Comand Type

So i cannot find the answer to this anywhere...
I live in the UK and am looking for an 03-05 Sclass W220 so it has the upgraded Comand unit...
However there seem to be 2 variations on the market, a smaller version with no CD Slot and directional arrow selector bottom right (click on each image to see a larger version):

And another one with a selection wheel instead of arrow buttons on the bottom right of the head unit and a CD slot in the top:

Now, does this mean that because there is a DVD/CD slot that there isn’t a multi changer, and what are the implications as, having the choice over both cars i would like the one with the best system...
Also, is the CD Multi Changer below the Climate Controls in the console as with the W211 E-class or somewhere else?

    As seen above?

I have scoured the internet for answers and nothing, would anyone know as im looking to buy a car on Tuesday 1st September :-)

    Kindest Regards...

    Hi

There were 3 COMAND types in the W220 S class (in Europe)

    a) Original 'Comand 2.0' - CD based navigation system
    b) Comand 2.0 MOPF. Widescreen version of above, for Model Year 2003 cars only (ie build from late Q3 2002 to late Q3 2003)
    c) COMAND-APS - DVD based navigation system, *much* better, from MY2004 to end of production.

Your pictures show type b and c but arent quite good enough for me to see which. The one with the SYS button is type (b)

Type (c) has the navigation DVD in the boot. Type (b) loses it's CD slot (that can play CDs) when you have a Navigation disk in there.

CD changer is in the boot on that generation S class.
