I've taken my 2003 CLK Cabrio in for its B service and to sort out a couple of minor probs. Also wanted to sort out a Major Prob. with the SatNav...
The man that knows confirms the Comand Head unit is functioning also the various antenni, he therefores asumes that the problem is the cabling. At the moment I cannot leave the vehicle for repair however if a Guru could give some indication of the cable route I could attempt to trace the cables for myself. All the best to everyone, hope your enjoying the summer. Malcolm. |

Hi Richard, sorry about the delay in replying.
The symptoms are 0Sat with a corrisponding open cct antena error message. The antenni & Comand were placed in another vehicle also in for sevice and they function without problems, the diagnosis system also thru up a similiar error message for the telephone. Seeing that all the items concerned are functional I thought I would try to trace the cable, as having the italian mecs strip down the car is going to cost in terms of man hours(euro 45/hour). Put a temporary antenna connection and install it behind / above the cluster.
