Richard thinking about your flaps, the boot is adjustable fore and aft, there is a good paper on this AR88.50-P-5200R
The main thing on this is that when correct the rear of the boot lid is in line with the vertical face of the rear lights, there are 2 nuts each side and the boot lid can be pulled back a touch, I see that mine have been adjustrd at some point in time,, you cannot move the flap back as it sits hard against the edge of the boot. I trust you found your rollers ![]() Funny I got no hot air going home,,joined it up to STAR and no CAN on the flap motor, I ran the flap motor and all fine again,, that could have been my fault as I turned off the fans etc when you diving into my CAN bus. The CAN is no longer on Comand so thank you for that, I just need the strenght now to lift out that seat again. It was good looking at Simons car in the boot as I saw my problem where the boot would not always close on one side, the stop screws with the rubber top had worked loose and was over 1" too low. Best regards and talk later at some point |

Thanks, the flaps were replaced as one seized and broke the pivot and the cog - they are individually adjustable with-respect-to the boot lid and need to have a 5mm gap around them, and the open/closed position is also adjustable.
I need to take a look, but i'd guess the gap is wrong or they close against the boot lid too hard, so when open arent quite open far enough if you know what I mean. Trouble with SL roofs is everything is adjustable ;-) Good luck with seat, let me know what you find. Aircon Flaps: just sounds like the controller got confused - we've both seen many controllers in confused states (i.e firmware bugs) i'm sure :-) Richard |

Yup, gap was wrong - flap was too far back.
Trim cover of flap unclips from underneath (lots of clips to be squeazed or pushed), revealing the plastic body of the flap screwed to the metal actuator. loosen screws, place trim back on (not clipped in), align so 5mm gap between it and the boot lid all around, lift trim and tighten screws.
