Default Comand 2.0 shuts down even with ignition on!

2.0 shuts down after 20-30 minutes on a running car even with ignition on!goes on asking to turn ignition on!
I checked and found all the fuses are intact and pins 4,5 &7 show +12 volt.
Please help as it is irritating to turn it on when the navigation stops at critical points.
Regards

Do you get the display on the cluster showing the audio and navigation info, or does it just show '----'

If it shows ---- you have a CANBus fault. Otherwise I would have said it was a COMAND unit fault and replace/repair it.

I have presumed it once worked in your car ... Or did you just retrofit it and it doesnt work..

Default comand shuts off!Richard thank you for your suggestion

I put another unit and same thing happens!NAVIGATION AND EVERYTHING WORKS PERFECTLY.
I bench tested both units and gave power 12 volt + to pins 4,5,7 and -ve to pin 8 in the A Connector but even then they shut off after 30 minutes and before shutting off they warn me to turn on the ignition!
I think there ought to be some pin that needs +12 volt that I am missing in the A Connector!
