Default A 190 2000 fuel pressure fluctuation

Hi Gurus,
car came in with extreme lack of power after long drive, recently repaired air mass.
fuel pressure 2 bar .
scoped main live to fuel pump 4 amps.
Full throttle, current drops to zero, and fuel pressure drops to 2 bar intermittently, and then builds back up. to 4 bar.
does the same thing when you turn off ignition and restart.

checked another vehicle current at fuel pump main live 8amps which is what it should be.

Replaced fuel filter with intergrated fuel pump regulator no change.
Replaced fuel pump relay no change.
cheked relay control circuit ok
fuse and fuse box connections checked and secure.

Could it be linked into the charcoal cannister somehow, it has a vacumn pipe to the fuel filter.

Where is earth connection W1 btw

Any help appreciated.
