Hiya

Its in progress at the moment.

Out comes:
Comand 2.0
Phone
TV
CDC
Linguatronic
BOSE and all speakers
existing antenna amps
old centre console trim

In comes:
NTG2.5 with DVD changer
Harmon Kardon & all speakers
Comfort Phone (and new centre console)
Media Interface
TV
DAB
new MY09 antenna amps
Designo Stone centre console

Its physically working (except the TV that wont seem to find any stations even though according to Star the signal strength is OK, got to be sure its not the antenna amps as they are a dashboard out job, but the TV tuner is not new and could have an issue ..)

Thanks for the answer, so you will be right up to date, I forgot about the Bose, I just would not have minded changing the head unit to the wide screen version APS and phone and CD over to MOST, but that would still involve the Bose and I would have to add a N69/1 central gateway, shame that there is no wide screen D2b based head unit, or is there.

Re your tuning problem,,as this could be the tuner or the amp I would run a antenna cable from the house or workshop from a known working system and do a scan, just simple connections would do. I always set them up in the workshop first, it can save a lot of time.

Thanks, I will do that (or drive the car away from the house and up to the top of a hill !).

It may be partially because I havent installed the new wiring for the rear-shelf antenna (it gets a feed from the roof closed switch from about MY06 onward) yet.

There were too many power feeds etc needed to set it all up on the bench (and requirement for the CGW to be visible)
