Can anybody help with a problem that's just occured with my sister in laws B class?

For no apparent reason the engine management light, ABS light, run flat idicator inop, ESP inop, lights a have all come on and the fuel gauge has stopped working completely. The car doesn't drive any differently and appears to be ok. All help will be greatly appreciated.

That is a very serious problem and it appears to be affecting the CANBUS system. I would say that given the number of faults reported it can be associated with CAN-C and most likely the problem resides on the ignition switch.

Ouch that sounds expensive. How does she go about resolving the problems - can they be cleared using a star system?

The Star system will tell the operator what is wrong (i.e what is reporting faults) - the faults will probably only clear once the fault(s) are fixed.

If its a dying control unit, then it could be harder to find. EIS (Igntion switch) is possibly a MB only job as its a "theft relevant part" - different countries apply different rules to the supply of such parts
