Default Video on COMAND APS NTG2

I have a 2006 CLK (W209) with DVD COMAND APS which is believe is also known as NTG2, with SAT NAV.
I have a video button on the head unit and when i press this the comand screen changes and says "no video". I have a CD multichanger and AUX jack fitted. Do i need a multi-media / MOST system interface to be able to show an external video source on the COMAND screen, or is it just a case of adding a cable from the external video source (DVB tuner / DVD) to the video input socket on the back of the unit and then selecting this from the COMAND keypad video button? I have not so far removed the head unit to look at the back but my research suggests that I would have a green FAKRA video input socket on the back, any tips on simple / safe COMAND unit reoval would be appreciated also! Thanks in advance

a) Digital TV Tuner from Mercedes gives 2 AUX ports.

b) Aftermarket TV emulation gives the impression a TV tuner is attached.

Head unit removal is simply. Remove shifter cover, ashtray, AC controller and upper switch row to expose the screws.
