having problems with keyless go 2002 cl500
hi guys im new to the site and im looking for a bit of help i have the keyless go system on my 2002cl500 my problem is i can open the door no problem with my keyless go system but when i try to start the car from the gearstickstart nothing happens any help would be much appreciated thanks in advance guys with kind regards scott from scotland

Is it the credit card type key or the newer combined ignition key with KG ?
If it is the latter, does the key start the car in the ignition barrel ?

keyless go problem
no its the creditcard type thanks as i said it opens all the doors and boot but have no luck when it comes to trying to start it of the gearstick start button

Those are really annoying. You need to test the armrest antenna and KG module.
I assume you replaced the batteries ? What happens if you leave the credit card thing inside the car and lock the car with a normal radio key.

yes replaced the batteries stil no luck ive managed to find a local guy who used to work for mercedes for 10years he has the star testing equipment i gave him a call and hes goig to do a diagnostic check just to make sure the gear stick start is being recognized ile keep you posted and let you know how i get on thanks againfor all your help kind regards scott
