I've found this site very useful for us lesser mortals and wish to thank all guru's for your help and amazing knowledge !

My next question is; I want to ready my car for the UK digital TV switch over, I've already got the standard original TV tuner installed and I've found several suitable dvb-t boxes but wondered what cables Mercedes do to connect external devices such as this to the AV inputs on the existing TV tuner so that I can simply select one of the AV inputs to watch digital tv. I presume they must do cables as they provide two AV inputs on the tuner box in the boot/trunk.

Secondly does anyone know if the antenna for the dvb-t box can be connected to the existing tv antenna in the boot/trunk lid.

The TV tuners AV cables can be bought on eBay for the extremely old connector version and the newer analogue only version has CINCH connectors.

To adapt the existing WICLIC connectors to a generic branded tuner is not impossible but rather difficult to source from Mercedes this adaptor. Overall it is also difficult to source the WICLIC connector.
