Default Aido/Nav/Command

Hi all , newbie to thread and to being a MB owner.
Sure I will learn alot from you guys here, and hopefully share some knowledge of my own ( previously more of a superbike guy, so can help with questions or problems) I'm in South Africa
Anyway hope somebody could help me
I have just purchased a 2002 c240 W203, and would like to retro fit a command to it, my buddy is an auto breaker and has given me a complete W211 Harmon Becker Command with the all the original components. Will i be able to retrofit this to my car ?
he has also provided me with the facelift W203 interior panels and AC controls

any help would be appreciated

Thanks in advance

No you should try to stay with W203 parts.

To fit the facelift system you need also a new instrument cluster and totally new optical network.

Hi there BenzModz
My buddy said he would provide me with all the other parts required, from other broken cars
Could you maybe advise on which speedo cluster, steering and cables would be suitable.
unfortunately this is the on command system he has, he says wiring can be pulled from any of the other cars he has in stock
any ideas or reccomendations as to which cars to strip?

Thanks

Fitting the W211 comand system to the car will be a massive massive job. you will need new trims, mounting cages, cluster, looms, optics. Its probably cheaper to buy another car!

You would be far better off going with W203 parts as Miro has said. you could even go for the newer NTg 2.5 comand system, still a few parts but a lot less than above and it will have much better functionality.

Ask your friend for a price on a 63 or 55 engine. I might be interested.

Hi Miro
spoke to my bud lastnight, he does not have a 55 0r 63 motor in stock, says if he gets one you looking at about 80k in ZAR, you gonna have to work it out in Aus$. Not sure if its a good price or not
