Default Active body control – visit workshop!

    Hi MB Guru,
My CL500 2002 year is frecuently showing on display "“ACTIVE BODY CONTROL – VISIT WORKSHOP!" message each time the car keeps stop for a while in Parking position. If I stop the engine and start it again the message dissapear and no errors show on the display until next time the car is in P for a while... any feedback is fully appreciated. Kind regards, -Ronnie.

Presumably you have a ride height issue. Either one shock absorber is broken or the hoses are. In which case either one corner is having a problem or one half of the car is dropping too low.

There are no obvious repairs. This is a workshop situation.

It is a good assumption. I started checking the hydraulic fluid levels in both reservoirs and realized that both were very low. I filled them according to the levels indicated when the engine is turned on and off, and I no longer presents over the message on the dash. I hope that's the reason and that is not a major problem. Thank you very much!

I would be asking why the fluid is leaving the system. You have a leak.
