I am considering swapping out my COMAND system for aftermarket. In addition to all the other things that I'd need to do, I'm trying to figure out how to retain steering wheel control. The pac-audio site doesn't list an application for the 2005 SL at all.

I was wondering if anyone has successfully used the SWI-CAN on a 2005+SL, and knows if any of their listed existing applications for other models will work.

Some people should not be allowed to own a Mercedes.

Why dont you consider the NTG2.5 Hard Disk COMAND from a 2009 SL ?

Most of the Guru's here specialise in putting Mercedes stuff in Mercedes and not other aftermarket stuff and we're all very keen on Mercedes being kept fully Mercedes if you see what i mean !
