We just bought a used 2007 CLK 550 cabriolet that did not come with a manual. We found mercedesmanuals.com and wondered if you knew if this is a reputable web site from which to order manuals.
Two other related questions: They list two options for ordering a manual for this car: "EDN A" and "EDN B"; do you have any idea what this is and how to tell which one we need for our car? Also, would this manual include nav system details, or is this a separate manual that needs to be ordered? We'd appreciate any info on what you know about this and whether you have any alternate sources for what we need. We'd like to get the manual(s) ASAP. Thanks! |

Hi
I haven't used them before but I would think that your Mercedes dealership can supply them quite easily and cheaply. Especially if you can find another CLK owner and get the part number and order number of the back cover of the book. (I'm in Europe so can't do that easily) The navigation system is essentially the same in 07 and in 08 and in the case of the CLK the same as in 09 as they did not update it before the E class coupe came out. The manual is seperate as is VCS if you have that. Edition A and B are just update numbering, I'd get Edition B if you can - tends to correct errors and explain functions a bit better. Sometimes new functions are added (which get added to older systems with software updates during services etc) that are then explained in the later (or even next model year) manauls. Have a look here, Mercedes online manuals You can download the MY08 COMAND manual and VCS manual. There is a part number on the back cover - you can ask your dealer for that. Richard |
