Unhappy ABC Suspension

I have a 2004 SL600. The front end lowers about 2" after about 6 hrs.I took the car last week and had the system flushed and filters changed. The problem still exists and I was told I needed to replace the front valve block for about $1,700.00. Will it hurt the car to drive it as it is, the car raises immediately when you either push the raise car button or place it in gear.

The valve block controls all the suspension - you do not want that to fail at speed because your supension will become unstable. The workshop's diagnosis seems to be that it is leaking.

Mercedes (in the UK) paid 90% of the total bill on a March 2004 SL55 which needed the valve block replacing about 6 months ago - so i'd ask your workshop to ask if MB will do a good will payment
