Default Oh my aching back! Massage seats in a W203?

Having suffered some back injuries over the past few years I would dearly love to fit some massaging seats to my C-class. Is it feasible to fit the seats from (say) an S-class? What modifications would be required? And where would I source them?

Failing that, is it possible to fit seats (eg from an M-class) which have the 4-way adjustable lumbar support?

    Thanks again for you help.

I suspect not - but the lumbar support was available on W209 (and I suspect W203) so in theory it should be possible to fit them. To modify existing seats would need new seat covers, so if you plan that, then get the heated ones.

I have never done this mod, but it will involve a load of vacuum connections (to the vacuum pump) and seat dismantly - but i dont think any electrics are involved for the lumbar support seat thing.

eBay or a breakers (dronsfields in UK for instance) are a good starting place. I'd look for W203 seats with the lumbar option and heated options. If you then want heated to work you'll need a wiring loom and the new switch pack for the switches

Thanks again Richard. I take it from what you said that the massage is actually vacuum operated rather than electric? I don't know if the W203 even has a vacuum pump - I can't think of anything else operated by vacuum.

I don't think W203s in Oz ever came with an electric lumbar mechanism, but I'll check. Would the W209 seat fit? Being a coupe, the seat folds and slides to allow access to the rear. I wonder if it would fit on the mounts in the sedan? (I should have mentioned I have a sedan, not the sport coupe).

I might pass on the heated seats - it's 37C degrees here today, being much cooler than it was earlier in the week!

Mechanical adjustment lumbar lever - fits directly into all W203 seats

Air cushioned seats - full overhaul of the seat. Most AMG cars come with air cushioned seats and heated seats.

Yes W209 seats fit nicely in a W203.
