Hello,
is it possible to fit a W204/207/212 rearview mirror (auto dimming, with mics and garage door opener) in a facelift W209? Or even a rearview mirror which was first factory fitted in a cabrio w209? Do the plugs fit in the Roof Control Panel or we are talking about completely different electronics? Thanks in advance

The plugs are different. The W203 C mirror is used on the W209.
You also need to be careful that the pre-facelift and post-facelift microphone setup is very different (1 mic vs 4) Use Search4CarParts - it will search in german/italian/etc for you on eBay, and the best place to find the "complicated" mirrors is often Germany So, in summary, you are looking for a MY2005 onward mirror with part number 203, with option codes 249 (dimming) 386 (phone) 231 (garage door opener) I think that makes the part number A203 810 34 17 xxxx (xxxx is the colour code) (7394=grey, 9051=black, 8J12=pebble) Richard [ps, note on some of the model range the RHD mirror is different to LHD mirror (they only rotate fully in 1 direction) - this isn't so on the W203 |

I have found 2 part numbers but can get the difference between them...
A 203 810 34 17 and A 203 810 32 17 I have found the 2nd one... they have the same price as far as i can see, but cant see their differences! |

The frequency can not be changed in DAS - the mirror is not 'smart', its just a smartlink garage door opener connected to power from the overhead control panel ..
Richard ps. The Euro units need to be told which country they are in (using a combination of different key presses) as 2 different frequencies are used in Europe - but very different to US frequencies.
