Default W209 Heated Seats (retrofit)

I just purchased a 2005 w209 (upgraded - USA) and would like to know whether the car comes pre wired for heated seats and if the seats have the heat elements on the already. If not what would be necessary to make the upgrade to heated seats?

Sorry for delay.

Some W203/W209 with leather seats happen to have the pads in them already. Look underneath to see if there is a connector on the seat connector block that has no plug into it.

If you have those you need a wiring loom and a new upper control panel (UCP) (the one where the seat heating buttons would be) - the whole UCP is replaced - the individual buttons are not removable

Otherwise you'd have to add the heater pads also and thats a pain as they are part of the leather seat cover .
