Thread: SL 2004 Ashtray jam

I do not smoke so I used the ashtray as a coin holder, but I think something got stuck because it does not open all the way.

I slid a credit card behind to try and feel around and I think I broke or unhooked the spring that opens it, so it does not "glide" anymore.

From the photos of the removed console on the article about removing the commande, it appears that the coin may have jammed on the side or sides.

Does anyone else have any experience with this problem?

Yes, that is possible that a coin is stuck down there.
