Question 2004 CLK interference bluetooth/sat nav

I have a Jan 2004 CLK 270 CDI with command system inc sat nav. A Bluetooth phone system has been installed and people you call get a really bad echo. I have been told it is interference from the sat nav as it is 'so old'. Both an HPF cradle and SAP have been tried. I can't believe nothing can be done and that all cars with my sat nav cant have bluetooth. Can anyone suggest how to stop the echo or what does cause it. Thanks

    Hi

As your car has the older D2B system, not all Bluetooth cradles are compatible (and the other end gets an echo of their voice as you have discovered.).

The only Mercedes 'bluetooth' cradles that are compatible are the
SAP V2 (no longer available)(new SAP V3 echos in many cars)
SAP V2 with handset (only works with Nokia phones + 3 old Siemens phones)

However, there is a nice non-Mercedes alternative called the Viseeo, which works great: -

Comand Online Ltd :: Mercedes Phone/Bluetooth :: ViseeO MB-2 (formerly MBU2000) UHI Bluetooth for Mercedes Benz

It bluetooths to almost all the phones we've tried, and downloads the address book from almost all too.

    Kind Regards

    Richard

    Question Bluetooth problem

Thank you so much for your reply. Only one query - the garage says I have the MOST system, not D2B. Does this make any difference to acceptable Bluetooth cradles?

    Thank you

An 04 plated CLK is unlikely to be MOST. Send your full chassis number to sales@comand.co.uk and they will tell you for certain if its MOST or D2B. My bet is its D2B.

MOST was sold prior to December 2004.

Yes. On the W203 it was from April 2004 build onwards and the CLK followed around august/september of 2004. 04 plated cars are registered between March 1st 2004 and August 31st 2004 so there are very few MOST CLK's from the 04 plate range. There are even some 54 plated D2B cars around. I strongly suspect this car is a D2B.
