Unhappy Cracked wheel

I just changed tires on my 2005 CLK 320 and afterward one of the tires was loosing air... I checked today and there is a 2 cm perpendicular crack on the lip of the wheel.

Those are the original, light alloy, wheels. I'm not sure of the material, probably an aluminum/magnesium alloy, they have a painted surface.

My guess is that the wheel is history, any chance it could be repaired?

Would a repair be safe?

I'd be tempted to replace it - wheels are cheap enough on eBay or talk to the guys at Mercedes AMG BMW alloy wheels & tyres, UK wheel alloys
