There are two types. A Fixed trailer hitch and a retracting trailer hitch.
Bear in mind that Mercedes over-engineers the hitch and it requires quite a few parts to be installed to the rear subframe and a control module.
You may also need to have your bumper modified.

Are you saying that MB makes hitches to fit the W211 wagon? If so, are they available in the United States? My dealer has not been able to find a source.![]()
My dealer seems to be having some difficulity and sent the following Reply:
"My parts dept. is not having the best of luck. If at all possible if you could provide me with some part numbers that would greatly help. As I said earlier I did find some retrofit instructions in WIS but they do exlude some models with styling packages."
Can you be of any assistance?
Thanks!![]()
The towing kit is not suitable for the AMG package. Therefore you must use the retracting version with AMG equipment. (It folds away and becomes invisible).
The only way to order this kit is to obtain an accessories catalog and find the part number there or order the option.
Have a look at this.

I know that MBENZNL has done them in the past.
In EPC you can look at 211.31.15 - since I dont know your chassis number I dont know the 100% correct page. But it is in section 31.
